Agreement to Terms

By accessing and using Code Academy Uganda's services, you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provision of this agreement. If you do not agree to abide by the above, please do not use this service.

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of our code club management system, website, and related services (collectively, the "Service") operated by Code Academy Uganda ("us", "we", or "our").

Service Description

Code Academy Uganda provides a comprehensive code club management system designed for educational institutions in Uganda. Our services include:

Student enrollment and management systems
Progress tracking and assessment tools
Parent communication and reporting features
Club scheduling and attendance management
Educational content and curriculum support
Analytics and performance insights

User Accounts and Registration

To access certain features of our Service, you must register for an account. When you create an account, you agree to:

Provide accurate, current, and complete information
Maintain and promptly update your account information
Maintain the security of your password and account
Accept responsibility for all activities under your account
Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account

Acceptable Use Policy

You agree to use our Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:

Use the Service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
Violate any applicable laws or regulations
Infringe upon the rights of others
Upload or transmit viruses or malicious code
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems

Educational Use and Student Data

Our Service is designed for educational purposes. Special terms apply to student data:

Student data is collected and used solely for educational purposes
Parents/guardians have the right to access and control their child's data
We comply with applicable educational privacy laws and regulations
Student data will not be used for commercial purposes
Educational institutions are responsible for obtaining necessary consents

Intellectual Property Rights

The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are and will remain the exclusive property of Code Academy Uganda and its licensors. The Service is protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws.

User Content

You retain ownership of content you submit to the Service. By submitting content, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, and display such content in connection with the Service.

Privacy and Data Protection

Your privacy is important to us. Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our Service. By using our Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Service Availability and Modifications

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Code Academy Uganda shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including without limitation, loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from your use of the Service.

This limitation applies whether the alleged liability is based on contract, tort, negligence, strict liability, or any other basis.

Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account and access to the Service immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including breach of these Terms.

Upon termination, your right to use the Service will cease immediately. If you wish to terminate your account, you may contact us for assistance with account closure and data export.

Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Uganda, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Uganda.

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a revision is material, we will provide at least 30 days notice prior to any new terms taking effect. What constitutes a material change will be determined at our sole discretion.

By continuing to access or use our Service after revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised terms.
